Manning Regional Art Gallery
Manning Regional Art Gallery in Taree is a vibrant cultural hub which nurtures artistic practice and fosters community engagement within the arts. We recognise the value of creative communities, and the quality of life it brings − unique, diverse and culturally rich communities.
Our vision is to present work to our audience which is reflective of our rich and inspired community. Artists present work which explore diverse themes including Aboriginal cultural stories of the area, reflections of the local landscapes, environmental issues and personal and artistic journeys.
The annual program boasts a range of work practices and cultural expressions, giving rise to a diversity of voices and themes. Our audience will experience installations, works on paper, painting, ceramics, fibre works, new media, sound and projection works. Artists further engage our audiences through workshops, artist talks or conversations and use innovative ways of storytelling such as multimedia, collaborations and installations.
